Art farms
ARTFARMS is a placemaking initiative in Buffalo's East Side, and recipient of National Endowment for the Arts funding in 2014. Established by Resituated Architecture, The concept merges art sculptures with urban farming, to align with the expanding locavore food movement. As new urban farms are introduced, ARTFARMS evolves into a backdrop for various redevelopment efforts in the area.
ARTFARMS serves as a collaborative platform, uniting neighborhood non-profits, council members, church leaders, urban farmers, artists, and community members in a shared vision for repurposing vacant urban spaces. Together, they strive to transform these areas into thriving hubs of local art and sustainable agriculture.
